January 1, 2025. My husband and I sat across from each other at the dining room table this month, working on annual taxes and taking some breaks here and there to talk about possible business ideas. That is the cool part of being married to another entrepreneur! We bounce ideas off of each other, and think about ways to improve and expand our current businesses. In 2024, Amazon has become a larger part of our business portfolio, so we announced on our Facebook page that we were going to take a break from running the music store. We knew we needed to do something to keep the music side of the business open, however. Earlier this month, another business owner on Main Street suggested that we start selling kits to make moonshine, “they are a great seller” he assured. I didn’t argue with him and I know he is probably right, but I also know that God doesn’t want me to sell moonshine starter kits. So, we prayed for God to show us what our next step should be, and what He wanted us to do with the music store. And, He did show me! God put in my heart the idea to start a travel agency. Timothy and I spent an entire afternoon working on names, logos, and finding the best host agency.
You may want to know if we have any experience in the travel industry. As a matter of fact, we do. My main experience is with groups and academic trips. We planned and traveled multiple times with groups in the US and in the UK, but those are stories for another post. 😉
I thank God for giving me this idea and re-igniting the fire in me for the travel industry. We can’t wait to open and offer to our family, friends, co-workers, and church members the greatest opportunity to travel.
